John Chun has worked in small business development for 15 years and is passionate about real estate acquisitions. He has completed acquisitions and development projects, beginning with identifying a location and engaging property owners in development and day-to-day operations. With experience in business and operations, John understands that real estate goes well beyond the transaction. He eagerly shares his knowledge and skills to help others reach their commercial real estate and business visions.

In his new role with Blue Commercial Real Estate, he will work closely with Managing Principal Maddie Whitehead to focus on tenant and buyer representation and ensure their requirements are met precisely and carefully. John will partner with Principal and Broker of Record Gerry Smith to assist in landlord and seller assignments, providing strategic support to maximize client asset value.

John serves as the Secretary of the Board of Directors of the Kensington Corridor Trust. This organization is focused on restoring cleanliness and safety, attracting and accelerating businesses to provide goods and services that meet local needs, and increasing job opportunities on Kensington Avenue through strategic property acquisition, development, and activation.

John is a child of Korean-American immigrants. He was born and raised in the suburbs of Philadelphia and attended Upper Dublin High School before attending Temple University. When he isn’t working, he runs road miles to train for races, explores new foods, and looks for exciting ways to entertain his young kids.
